Studio Lead Game Designer

On top of the Game Design team of one of Gameloft studios in Vietnam, you will be responsible to: - Organize and Lead the Game Designer team to design fun and immersive concept of gameplay mechanics, AI, features and story… for video games on mobile devices or other platforms in the project line-up; - Join in daily production, and supervise the implementation to ensure overall creative quality of the games; - Evaluate the needs of resource required in different projects/tasks to recruit, assign or allocate game designers efficiently and optimally; - Supervise, coordinate workflow in between Game Designers and the rest of development teams; - Constantly improve the overall creativity and necessary skill, inspire passion and motivation of the Game Designer team members; - Organize trainings for Game Designer team, in line with production priority and strategy as agreed with Vietnam Game Designer Lead and Studio Manager; - Set an example for all team members by regularly demonstrating strong work ethics, quality of work, teamwork and perform a solid leadership; - Be the key contact for Game Designer team for different teams in local studios in Vietnam and Manager in Headquarter from Paris; - Report to Vietnam Lead Game Designer, and Studio Manager.

- At least 5 years of working as Game Designer (GD) including experiences as lead GD or main GD for core gameplay on iPhone/iPad, mobile games, or other platforms (PC, DS, Wii, PSP, Xbox…); - Having shipped at least 3 successful game titles as a lead GD or main GD; - Extensive gaming culture, on all types of platforms (mobile, consoles, iPhone, handheld…) and for all types of audiences; - Proficient in all aspects of game design such as gameplay, balancing, and reward system…; - Ability to convey ideas and to provide clear formalization of complex concepts; - Ability to illustrate and/or prototype ideas via standard tools like Photoshop, Flash, Sketch-up, 3D Studio Max, Unity, Blitz, etc.; - High visual creativity and passion for developing video games; - Excellent organizational and communication skills; - Excellent leadership, ability to well manage teams in a cross-cultural environment; - Strong work ethics, quality-oriented, good teamwork, self-motivation; - Efficient work under pressure and strict deadlines - Knowledge of object oriented and natural programming languages is a plus; - Excellent English, spoken and read/written; speaking Vietnamese is a plus, but not mandatory. *Please include in your application your game portfolio in which you will indicate your role as Game designer in the production If your skills set and interests align with the position, please send your CV and cover letter in English to: recruitment.hn@gameloft.com, reminding the reference: LGD
